The Gold Coast is more than just a scenic holiday hot spot, the Coast with the Most has also been known as a fabulous host for so many huge events. For this coming September, we at Splendido Resort Apartments invite everyone to swim, paddle, ride and run as you make your way to the finish line in the 2011 Gold Coast Anaconda Adventure Race.
Happening on 10-11 September 2011, Anaconda Adventure Race will be holding the second of its four series race at the beautiful shores of Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. Holiday makers at our Mermaid Beach accommodation on the Gold Coast can join in and experience a challenging yet very gratifying adventure race. Anaconda Adventure Race is open for all athletes of every skill level. The race will feature Junior Survivor Challenge for kids 5-13 years of age and the main racing event for the adults. The Anaconda Adventure Race will also hold several fun activities that include adventure expo with sponsors stands and displays, foods, drinks, and fun entertainment for the whole family.
The challenging Anaconda Adventure Race will test the endurance of every competing racers as they swim in the ocean; paddle their way along the coast to the waterways; run over hills, down rugged tracks in the rainforest, through streams and creeks; and then finally ride a mountain bike along the border track then head back to the finish line. Racers can either join individually or by teams. Winners of the race will also be receive cash prizes and gifts.
Aside from providing exciting adventure race and fun family events, Anaconda Adventure Race at the Gold Coast will also raise funds for MS Queensland that will benefit the research efforts to find cure for multiple sclerosis as well as give help to people within the community who are affected by the debilitating disease.
